Itinerary

Day 1

Departure from Oaxaca City at 1:00 PM, after lunch, heading towards Santa María Tecomavaca. We will arrive at the Hotel Tecomavaca around 4:30 PM and check into rustic cabins. We will have lunch in the village, either Santa María Tecomavaca or Quiotepec. In the evening, we will venture out to search for owls and scorpions.

Day 2

We will depart early in the morning (5 a.m.) to start walking up during the cool hours of the day, aiming to arrive early at the top of Sabino Canyon. This timing will allow us to observe the Military Macaw, which we will likely hear before reaching the top. We will spend 2 to 3 hours above the canyon, exploring several spots. Sandwiches will be provided for everyone. Mid-morning, we will begin our walk back to the cabins. Around midday, we will leave the area to have lunch in Cuicatlán. After lunch, we will drive back to Oaxaca (approximately a 2-hour drive).
